Discover Vietnam Golf and Sightseeing Tour: January 10 – 27, 2019
Vietnam is the easternmost country in the Indochina Peninsula. With a population of over 89 million, it is the 13th most populous country in the World. Emerging from the various prolonged military conflicts, Vietnam instituted political and economic reforms resulting in economic growth being one of the highest in the world in the past decade. This has resulted in numerous investments in the tourism infrastructure. Part of these developments are the numerous high-quality golf courses that have recently been opened such as Montgomerie Links, and The Dunes Course by Greg Norman.
January 10 – Ho Chi Minh – Arrival
Arrive into Ho Chi Minh airport. After clearing arrival formalities, meet our guide and transfer to Grand Hotel.
January 11 – Ho Chi Minh – Golf ( B )
Morning round of golf at Song Be Golf Club. Well known for being the first international standard championship course in Vietnam and one of the most challenging and stimulating in the country, Song Be Golf Resort has been gently crafted out of the beautiful landscape and features numerous lakes, tree-lined fairways and subtle undulating greens. The 27-hole course is officially rated in accordance with the USGA/SGA (United States Golfers Association) requirements.
January 12 – Ho Chi Ming – Tour ( B,L )
Morning tour around Ho Chi Minh City, formerly called Saigon, visiting Bat Thien Hau Temple, Jade Pagoda, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Municipal Post Office followed by a typical south Vietnamese lunch. Afternoon free.
January 13 – Ho Ch Minh – Mekong Delta Tour ( B )
The most typical and convenient destination for a day trip to the Mekong Delta is My Tho. The town of My Tho lies on the left side of the Mekong River and just a two-hour drive from the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City. Visitors will enjoy a cruise on the Mekong River and then ride on a hand-rowed sampan through small islets under a green canopy of water-coconut trees to catch a glimpse of the daily activities of the local people. A visit to an orchard islet to observe the pastoral life and enjoy coconut milk, seasonal fruit, honey tea and lunch of country delicacies will also be arranged.
January 14 – Ho Chi Minh – Golf ( B,L )
Morning round of golf at Tan Son Nhat Golf Club. The Golf Course is about 4km away from the center of Ho Chi Minh City. The 36-hole design appeals to the golf fanciers who are eager to overcome almost any golfing challenge.
January 15 – Ho Chi Minh – Golf ( B )
Morning round of golf at Vietnam Golf & Country Club. The first 36-hole golf club in Vietnam and is widely regarded as Vietnam’s Premier Golf and Country Club. Set amongst 300 hectares of land, two great golf courses have been carved out of the existing woodland with minimal land movement, leaving you to feel that the land was always destined to be a golf course, so natural is the lay-out and design.
January 16 – Ho Chi Minh – Nha Trang ( B )
Transfer to airport for flight to Nha Trang landing at Cam Ranh airport in Nha Trang. On arrival, meet our guide and transfer to Novotel Nha Trang. Balance of day free to explore the area around the hotel.
January 17 – Nha Trang – Golf ( B )
This morning transfer to Diamond Bay Golf, an 18-hole championship Andy Dye designed golf course with an oceanfront driving range.
January 18 – Nha Trang – Golf ( B)
This morning, a round of golf at Vin Pearl Golf Club, situated on its own picturesque valley along an 800 metres stretch of pristine white sand beach. It is located at Vinpearl’s resort complex on Hon Tre Island, Nha Trang Bay – described by Forbes Magazine as one of the 30 most beautiful bays on earth. This impressive 18-hole, par 71 championship masterpiece is Vietnam’s first international standard island golf course, offering unique island golfing experiences with views of the ocean from every hole.
January 19 – Nha Trang – Tour ( B,L )
Enjoy a wonderful half-day tour of beautiful Nha Trang, visiting many historical and interesting sites including Nha Trang Cathedral, Long Son pagoda, Chong Promontory Rocks, Ponaga Towers and Dam market, just to name a few. This 4 hour-long tour concludes with a drive back to your hotel after lunch at a local restaurant.
January 20 – Nha Trang ( B )

January 21 – Nha Trang – Hoi An/Danang ( B,L )
Transfer to airport mid day for our flight into Danang. On arrival, proceed to local restaurant for lunch before embarking on a tour of Danang, visiting visiting Cham Museum and Marble Mountain. Continue on to our hotel, Sunrise Premium Resort.
January 22 – Hoi An – Tour ( B,L )
After breakfast, Enjoy a tour of Hoi An, a trading post of seafaring Chinese, Japanese and Portuguese merchants several centuries ago. Experience making silk lanterns in Hoi An .
Lanterns were one of the products of the cultural exchange between Vietnamese and Japanese – Chinese in the past of 16-17 centuries. Lanterns have been well-known because of the skillful job which displays the art of silk and bamboo decoration in Hoi An. Hike to the ancient village and enjoying the romantic path with the two line of areca nut tree along the village. Continue on to the town of Hoi An and visit different artisan shops with their crafts.
January 23 – Hoi An – Golf ( B )
Morning round of golf at Danang Golf Club. When Greg Norman checked in on the progress of the course, in March 2010, he said: “The fact is, you’d be doing a very poor job to make a boring course out of a site like this.” Certainly, Mother Nature had a gigantic hand in the formation of a layout that evokes an experience often found in seaside courses in the British Isles and southeastern Australia.

Morning round of golf at Montgomerie Links Golf Club. Eight-time European Order of Merit winner and 2010 Ryder Cup-winning captain, Colin Montgomerie, designed the beautifully presented links-style course. It was the first – and remains the best – of the new courses to be created in the Central Coast area and the accolades have already started to grow. The 2012 Forbes Travel Guide rated Montgomerie Links as one of Asia’s ten most elite courses, and it recently won a prestigious Asia Pacific Property Award.
